TRUCKCOM VEHICLE CHECKS
Truckcom makes it easy for you to keep electronic check and defect reports. These are created directly on each driver’s smartphone. They are then securely stored indefinitely. The system also allows you to manage your maintenance processes. You can scan your maintenance documents. You can make Truckcom your master record for all roadworthiness records.
Truckcom has now been tested in hundreds of VOSA and DVSA inspections. It has been accepted in every one.
VEHICLE CHECK REPORTS
Our App lets your drivers record their vehicle walkaround checks. Checks can be recorded whether defects are present or not. The check reports are then stored securely. They can be emailed as well if required.
Vehicle checks can be turned off if you don’t need them. But if they’re on, drivers can’t see their work until their checks are complete. This forces the driver to record the checks. All checks include a driver signature.
These reports are available instantly after the driver completes them. They are also securely stored indefinitely, for compliance purposes.
DEFECT REPORTS
Our App lets your drivers report their defects during walkaround checks. The defects reports are stored securely on our servers. They can be emailed as well if required.
Truckcom stores all the information required for defects. This includes where they are on the vehicle or trailer; the type of defect (operation, security or condition); and the specific defect type, selected from more than a hundred types. The list can be modified or customised by each operator. This helps operators to apply their specific requirements for reporting. In addition to this the driver can enter a text description. Crucially they can also attach pictures.
Once this information has been reported by the driver, it then becomes accessible instantly to the fleet department. Data is stored indefinitely for later reporting and analysis, and for compliance purposes.
The system also allows alert emails to be sent when new defects are reported.
MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT
Truckcom helps you manage your vehicle maintenance and inspections. You can plan inspections, repairs and MOTs. You can show maintenance activities in diary form. You can also link defect reports with maintenance orders. Maintenance paperwork can also be scanned into the system. This gives you a complete roadworthiness record in one place.
As with all parts of the system, you can pick and choose which parts you use. Some operators leave their maintenance management activities as they are. Others will choose to link everything together in Truckcom.
